Reasons People Start Therapy for Anxiety in Orange County, CA
You’re looking for therapist with specialized knowledge and experience to help you.
Maybe you want to understand why you have anxiety. Or how to handle it better, and no longer let it take over your life.
You are tired of trying to be perfect at your job or around your friends and appear that you’re OK.
Or you are tried of struggling with constant self doubt, standing up for yourself, and people pleasing. You never really feel good enough or that your needs matter too.
Perhaps, you want to stop feeling overwhelmed with stress and worrying all the time. You struggle with what “should be” easy things to do. For example, leaving your home, socializing with others, or having anxious thoughts all of the time.

Types of anxiety I can help you with
-Generalized Anxiety Disorder:
With this type of anxiety, you experience intrusive thoughts and worries that feel difficult to control or to stop thinking about. The worries and anxious thoughts can be about everyday things such as your health, family, money, or work. You feel restless or on edge and have trouble concentrating or falling asleep. You feel irritable and easily fatigued. You also feel anxiety in your body such as muscle aches and tensions, headaches, or stomachaches.
-Social Anxiety Disorder:
You have chronic worries related to fear of judgment in social situations. You overthink about what to say or not say. You worry that others will notice that you look anxious and usually avoid speaking out of fear of embarrassment or unintentionally hurting others. In social situations you feel overwhelmingly anxious and self-conscious. The fear of judgment prevents you from pursuing friendships and romantic relationships, socializing with people or in groups, pursuing a new career or a promotion, asserting yourself, or being in public.
-Panic Disorder:
You experience panic attacks that occur regularly and usually, without any trigger or warning. You are in constant fear of another attack happening and avoid places you’ve had one before or places that may trigger another attack. When you’re having a panic attack, you have intense fears about losing control, dying during the panic attack, or that something bad is about to happen. If you are around others or in public, you need to escape and leave immediately. You experience the physical symptoms of a panic attack such as rapid increase in your heart rate, difficulty breathing, sweating, dizziness, or chest pain.
-Specific Phobias:
You have an overwhelming specific fear that causes severe anxiety when you’re exposed to it. It often leads to changing your life to avoid the situation or thing because the fear is debilitating and difficult to cope with. There are different types of phobias and here some common ones such as agoraphobia (the fear of public places or crowded places without an easy way to escape), aerophobia (the fear of flying), and acrophobia (the fear of heights).
You don’t have to deal with anxiety on your own
Because you’re human, you’re complex, imperfect, and constantly changing. You need support just as much as everyone else, if not more. You’ve been trying to hold it together for awhile now. It’s exhausting and frustrating when feeling anxious all of the time. You notice it takes over your mind, body, and emotions. When anxiety goes on for too long, it worsens anxiety. It also increases low self esteem and doubt. And your unrealistic fears keep you stuck and depressed
As a result, you aren’t living the life you want. I know we have a tendency to think we can deal with anxiety on our own and over time, we even start to think all of this anxiety is just how our life is going be but neither is true. If any of these experiences describe you, you don’t have to deal with anxiety alone.
Anxiety can be a liar, it’s OK to get help.

How I can help you overcome Anxiety
My approach to therapy is not a one-size-fit-all because I recognize that each person is unique. I prioritize getting to know your story, what’s important to you, and tailor my approach to your individual needs. Because I use different therapy approaches, I focus on the ones that are relevant to your needs and will most likely help you.
Comprehensive Assessment
During our first therapy session together, I complete a comprehensive assessment where we discuss important areas such as your mental and physical background, what your needs are, and values. This helps me to develop your treatment plan and provide a diagnosis if applicable. I can also help provide referrals that will benefit you such as a medication evaluation or physical therapy and guide you through the process.
Free 30 Minute Consultation
In addition, I value including you on your care and communicate with you throughout our time together. I offer a free 30 minute consultation call where we discuss what you’re looking for, how I can best serve you, and we can both decide if working together is a good fit. You can book a free consultation call right now by clicking here.

Why I love helping people who experience anxiety
I’ve been dealing with anxiety since a young child. I struggled a lot with social anxiety, constantly worrying about bad things happening, and relentless self doubt. It brings me joy to help people who are struggling with anxiety. I understand how anxiety robs you of not just your full potential, but enjoying life. Anxiety and I have had a long relationship together. As a result I’ve learned helpful tools and concepts along the way. I also learned to not let it take control of my life. I would love to help you achieve this too.
