**Mental Health Therapy for CA and AZ Residents Only**
“Elle is the best counselor there is! I look forward to our sessions because she is kind, caring, compassionate and it is clear how much she cares about her clients and her work.” S.H.

Hi there! I’m                  Elle Lee

and I’m licensed therapist in both California and Arizona with a specialization in anxiety, depression, and coping with chronic kidney disease. I’m passionate about walking alongside you as you face life’s challenges, helping you find clarity in the confusion, build confidence in your abilities, and discover the strength that’s already within you.

In therapy, I aim to create a warm and supportive space where you feel safe to share your thoughts and experiences without fear of judgment. We’ll explore what you need and come up with personalized strategies to help you overcome obstacles, grow as a person, and feel better overall.

Therapy works best when we approach it as a team. Your openness and willingness to try new ways of thinking and doing things, combined with my guidance and proven techniques, can help us make real progress together.

If you’re ready to develop practical coping skills, uncover the root causes of your challenges, and move toward a more fulfilling life, I would be honored to support you!

Let’s connect, Elle Lee

P.S. Conveniently book here for a free 30-mins consultation.

Areas of Focus

          Anxiety

Anxiety: I specialize in treating various forms of anxiety, including generalized anxiety, panic disorder, social anxiety, body image-related anxiety, phobias, and self-esteem issues.

Anxiety may be impacting how you feel about yourself and your ability to enjoy life fully. Whether it’s social anxiety that leaves you feeling nervous in public settings, low self-esteem that causes you to doubt your worth, or uncontrollable thoughts and worries. Together, we can explore where this anxiety stems from and learn to manage the overwhelming feelings that arise, so you can regain control and feel more at ease in your own body and mind.

       Depression

Depression: I specialize in treating various depression disorders such as major depressive disorder, and depression linked to body image issues and low self-esteem.

You might find yourself constantly feeling low, struggling to lift your mood no matter what you do. When good moments come, they seem to fade quickly, leaving you back in that familiar place of heaviness. You feel tired all the time, even after plenty of sleep, and the simplest tasks—whether at work, school, or home—feel like monumental efforts.

Depression can also affect how you see yourself. You might struggle with body image issues, feeling dissatisfied with your appearance, or like you don’t measure up. You feel like you’re not good enough, or that you don’t deserve to be liked or happy. The negative thoughts can creep in constantly, dragging your self-esteem down, and making it hard to appreciate the things you do accomplish.

These struggles are real, but you don’t have to face them alone. Contact me for support right now.

Therapy Approach

I use techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help with anxiety and depression. These methods aren’t just things I teach—I also use them in my own life because they really work. From my own experiences and those of my patients, I’ve seen how these strategies can make a real difference in managing challenges and improving well-being.

In our first session, we’ll talk about the important parts of your life, like your physical and mental health history, as well as anything else that matters to your care. This helps us create a plan that’s specifically designed for you. If needed, I can also provide a clear diagnosis to better understand what’s going on and guide our work. If other services might help, like holistic care or psychological testing, I can connect you with those as well.

As we continue working together, I’ll be here to guide and support you every step of the way. Therapy is a team effort, and your involvement is a big part of making progress. I’ll always keep the lines of communication open, making sure you feel comfortable, heard, and supported as we work toward your goals.

Interesting Facts

about Mental Health

1 Your brain can physically change with therapy..

Studies show that therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) can actually rewire the brain’s neural pathways. This process, called neuroplasticity, helps reduce anxiety and depression by altering the way your brain responds to stress and negative thoughts.

2 Chronic worrying affects your body as much as your mind..

Anxiety doesn’t just cause mental distress; it can trigger physical symptoms like headaches, muscle tension, digestive issues, and a weakened immune system, making it a whole-body experience.

3 online therapy is as effective as in-person therapy

Studies have shown that online therapy is just as effective as face-to-face therapy for treating anxiety, depression, and other mental health conditions, offering the added convenience of access from the comfort of your home or anywhere in CA and AZ.

4 Negative body image affects more than just appearance..

People with body image issues are more likely to suffer from anxiety, depression, and eating disorders. Feeling dissatisfied with your body can spill over into all areas of life, leading to isolation, low self-worth, and mental health challenges.

5 Social anxiety is the most common anxiety disorders..

It’s estimated that around 15 million adults in the U.S. alone struggle with social anxiety. Despite its prevalence, many people with social anxiety delay seeking help, even though effective treatments exist.

6 Body image concerns can start as early as 6 years old..

Research shows that body image issues can emerge in children as young as 6 years old. This highlights how deeply societal pressures around appearance can influence self-esteem from an early age and continue into adulthood.

Therapy offers long-term benefits even after it ends..

Studies show that individuals who undergo treatment for anxiety and depression can continue to experience positive effects long after therapy concludes, thanks to the skills and coping strategies they’ve learned.

8 Social anxiety often starts early in teenage years…

Social anxiety disorder typically begins in adolescence, around age 13. Early treatment can prevent the worsening of symptoms and build confidence in social situations.
